RCCAO looks forward to working with new Ontario cabinet

RCCAO looks forward to working with new Ontario cabinet

TORONTO — The Residential and Civil Construction Alliance of Ontario has issued a statement focused on key infrastructure projects in the wake of Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s June 6 cabinet shuffle.

RCCAO executive director Nadia Todorova stated, “The RCCAO looks forward to working with the new cabinet to continue advancing key infrastructure priorities, including transformational projects like Highway 413 and the Bradford Bypass that are crucial for Ontario’s economy and quality of life.”

Among the changes: Stephen Lecce moves from education to energy, swapping portfolios with Todd Smith; Stephen Crawford enters cabinet as associate minister of mines; Trevor Jones joins the cabinet as associate minister of emergency preparedness and response; Nolan Quinn becomes associate minister of forestry; and Mike Harris, son of the former premier, takes over the red-tape reduction portfolio.

Todorova added, “Thank you to the outgoing cabinet for recognizing the importance of investing in critical infrastructure we all rely on, including water, wastewater, highways, housing and transit, and ensuring that industry has the skilled workforce necessary to build. As our province grows, we need to continue building to ensure a prosperous future for generations to come.”
