BURLINGTON, ONT. — Burlington Police are reporting a power outage in north Burlington, Ont. as a result of a fire at a construction site.
The fire was reported at 4:30 a.m. on Aug. 2 in the Appleby Line and Taywood Drive region where townhouses are under construction. There were no injuries reported.
Burlington Hydro reported at 8:45 that the outage affected approximately 2,850 customers. Crews were working “as quickly and safely as possible” to restore power with restoration expected by 1 p.m. the same day.
