Big-D appoints Cory Moore as new CEO
BIG-D COMPANIES—Cory Moore has been named the new CEO of Salt Lake City-based Big-D Companies.

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH—Big-D Companies announced Jan. 3 Cory Moore has been named the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Previous CEO Rob Moore will remain as the company’s executive chairman.

“This is a significant announcement for our company and future. We have worked on our succession planning over the last decade and this strategic move is part of that plan and is a major step in realizing our goals,” Rob Moore said in a statement.

“Cory is the right leader for Big-D. Cory’s extensive experience along with his leadership and communication skills will help us grow our national footprint to better serve our customers. Big-D is in good hands with Cory,” Big-D chairman of the board Jack Livingood added.

In a unanimous decision by the company’s board of directors, Cory Moore will take responsibility for its 14 offices nationwide. Moore has been with the company for nearly 25 years and most recently served as the national president and a member of its board of directors, a Big-D release stated.

“I am very excited for the opportunities and challenges ahead. Big-D has a great business model and extraordinarily talented people. We are well positioned to become one of the most sought-after construction companies in the busines,” Cory Moore said.

Big-D was founded in 1967, has more than 1,500 employees and $2 billion of annual revenue.
