TORONTO—BOLT, a charitable foundation that works to create awareness about the diverse and numerous career opportunities in the construction industry, is hosting a webinar for International Women’s Day on Tuesday, March 8 from 10:25 to 11:25 a.m. via Zoom.
Students are welcome to attend the virtual event to learn about the construction industry, discover the different careers available and hear directly from a panel of diverse female industry professionals about their own experiences and career advice.
The BOLT Foundation applications for the for the 2022/2023 BOLT Financial Awards are also now open until Friday, April 29.
To date, BOLT has provided more than 430 scholarships to under-resourced youth totalling $1.4 million. In the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 academic years, BOLT awarded 95 scholarships totalling more than $330,000 directly through the foundation and its post-secondary and community partners, including the Children’s Aid Foundation, Indspire, Co-Operative Housing Federation of Toronto, and George Brown College and others, states a release.
