This week marks the inaugural episode of the TCR Express, a new weekly podcast bringing us back to the roots of the Construction Record podcast. We started this podcast as a look at the weekly news happening in the construction industry and over the years we鈥檝e grown and developed our show into a more long-form and narratively focused experience.
TCR Express is a fast, focused look at what we鈥檝e been covering recently and what we have coming up both on our sites and in our podcasts. In this week鈥檚 episode, digital media editor Warren Frey and Daily Commercial News and Journal of Commerce national managing editor Vince Versace discuss the new show, our journey to this point and what we have planned in the next few weeks.
Warren also speaks with Daily Commercial News staff writer Don Wall about his reporting on Urban Land Institute Toronto鈥檚 recent 鈥淩edressing Black Displacement in Canada鈥 virtual seminar in celebration of Black History Month. Don has a short clip from Nova Scotia Barristers Society manager of equity and access Angela Simmonds who speaks to the different rules faced by Black and white settlers in Nova Scotia from the 1700s onwards, and he鈥檒l be playing further clips from other speakers in a buildup to our own Black History Month focused podcast at the end of February.
Thanks for checking out TCR Express and be sure to tune in next week and listen to our regular Friday podcast!
