The Construction Record Podcast – Episode 10

This week Journal of Commerce digital media editor Warren Frey and staff writer Russell Hixson look into FortisBC’s 11 kilometre gas line project extending from Surrey to Coquitlam, and talk about Warren’s upcoming reaction piece in the Journal about the cancellation of the Pacific Northwest liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in northern British Columbia.

National editor Vince Versace and daily editor Lindsey Cole from the Daily Commercial News look at some cool projects they’ve recently covered, and DCN staff writer Don Wall has an interview with Ashely Ritchie, a masonry and brick laying apprentice from New Brunswick who recently won a gold medal in the Skills Canada trades competition held in Winnipeg.

Russell also has an interview with FortisBC project manager Ian Miki, who goes into greater detail about the challenges of the Surrey to Coquitlam gas line project.

Vince also has ÌìÃÀÓ°Ôº – Canada president Mark Casaletto with him for the economics segment of the podcast, and Mark shares both his economic knowledge about several projects and checks one off the bucket list by appearing on a podcast for the first time. Enjoy!
