Bell Let’s Talk Day: Creating positive change on jobsites

TORONTO — The Bell Let’s Talk mental health initiative was launched in September 2010 and every year has focused on four pillars: fighting the stigma, improving access to care, supporting world class research and leading by example in workplace mental health.

These pillars, in one way or another, are also behind many construction industry mental health initiatives, in particular fighting the stigma.

This year, the Bell Let’s Talk campaign theme is “Let’s create positive change” and it aims to highlight the mental health crisis Canadians are facing and ways that we can all create meaningful change by taking action.

The Daily Commercial News and Journal of Commerce has compiled a list of stories and resources that showcase how the industry is looking to enact change through various campaigns, initiatives and discussions that all encourage those who are struggling to come forward to get the help they need.
