This week on TCR Express digital media editor Warren Frey and Journal of Commerce staff writer Russell Hixson look at the sessions they’ve covered so far at the Canadian Council for Public Private Partnerships P3 2021 conference which began on Nov. 16.
Russell attended the “Indigenous Leadership Towards Net-Zero” session, where four Indigenous leaders discussed some of the challenges they’ve faced while building infrastructures in their respective nations. Warren covered the “What Comes Next: How will Canada’s Hospitals Adapt and Innovate after CoVID-19?” session, where panelists discussed how hospitals coped with reorienting and adapting to the COVID-19 pandemic and how design, collaboration and technology have not only put Canada in front of the rest of the world in terms of smart hospitals but how it will help adapt to the next crisis.
Daily Commercial News staff writer also covered Howard Ashcraft’s P3 2021 keynote which examined major projects from a global perspective and Don Wall has a story about the back and forth between those supporting and those opposed to construction of Highway 413.
