On this episode of the Construction Record Podcast, digital media editor Warren Frey speaks with TransPod Inc. CEO and co-founder Sebastien Gendron about the company’s proposed high-speed tube transport system.
Gendron broke down the science behind the system, which a transport called FluxJet to travel at speeds of 1,000 Km/h through an almost friction-free tube, with the first proposed system intended to link Calgary and Edmonton.
Gendron also explained the advantages of the system over high-speed rail, including lower costs and the ability to transport freight and passengers in order to further offset costs.
