Manitoba announces Thompson playground plans

THOMPSON, MAN. – The Government of Manitoba is inviting Thompson, Man. residents of Manitoba Housing to contribute feedback on designs for a new community playground.

Community consultations are scheduled to begin later in the month.

Manitoba Housing is considering three design options for a new playground at 539 Princeton Dr., and a companion swing set and benches nearby at 8 Brandon Cres, a release said. The playground will be accessible and will feature Indigenous cultural elements.

Manitoba Housing owns and operates 95 rental units in Thompson, the release said, and  55 units are townhouse properties designated for families, with 40 units in two apartment blocks designated for families or tenants aged 50 and over.
